The essence and beauty of the Turkish community in Dobromir commune. Dobromir commune consists of six villages near the border with Bulgaria in the south-eastern part of Romania, and is the only commune in Romania where ethnic Turks are the majority. When I started visiting this area, I looked for color as the main element in my photos, but over time I discovered the people and the warmth of their smiles. Through the sympathy I have for them, I try to document their personality, and to capture moments that I will fondly relive over the years every time I look at these photos. With the passage of time, villages change, houses become more modern and some traditions disappear. I am glad that I could be a witness of the change.
