The begining

I was exploring the rural parts of Constanta, searching for people who would inspire me to tell a story. Shoot over the course of six years, the portraits of Trache Family capture their daily life and also illustrate the living standards of a part of the Romanian society that they represent. My affinity for the way these people interact has helped me capture the intimacy of their existence. Dumitru’s smile stuck with me from the day we met and has never changed. This is how I first found him, and this is how it all started.
